WiseCity was one of the 6 finalists among 68 participating companies, in the seventh version of TECLA 7, Internationalization Category

July 2024.- Entrepreneurial Talent Caja Los Andes, TECLA 7, ends with an awards ceremony at the Hilaria Events Center, Ciudad Empresarial, Huechuraba. The participants had the opportunity to exhibit at the World Startup Congress, WSA Patagonia (World Summit Awards), which this year was held in Chile at the Teatro del Lago de Frutillar.

This seventh version sought to recognize solutions that generate value and positive impact throughout the country and contribute to the physical and mental well-being of people; health and financial education; sustainable tourism; active aging of older people; and the digitalization of the future that allows operational efficiency, betting on amplifying the available resources with a clear and simple objective: finding the solutions that will transform tomorrow.

In the Internationalization Category, WiseCity was one of the 6 finalists among 68 companies, for its focus on economic, social and environmental growth. A technological solutions company that offers a variety of services to improve security, communication and the quality of life of citizens.

Juan Ignacio Duarte, Co-Founder of WiseCity points out that, “it has been a very enriching experience in every sense, from the application to the final phase. Each process was accompanied by mentoring and review management with high-level professionals and academics. Today we are a safety network with the purpose of uniting people to move in a connected and safer city.”

From WiseCity they value the TECLA 7 initiative and consider that having participated in the entire process to manage the internationalization of the company, with a solid pitch due to growth, contributes to the development of new opportunities.

“We believe that today entrepreneurs have to work in innovation verticals and create them as the market itself adjusts. Without a doubt, the concept of “technology adoption” is key to achieving the objectives,” commented Duarte.

The future of smart cities in Latin America is headed toward great opportunities, because there is much to do and niches to exploit. “In general, the region is behind compared to developed countries, mainly due to education and adoption of new technologies, therefore, working towards more advanced models is a task in which all actors, public and private, must participate,” concludes the Co-founder of WiseCity.
