Why robberies don't take vacations

The exchange of vacationers eager to spend time outside the city; on beaches, lakes, mountains or countryside, this second month of vacation becomes a reality. However, the risks of falling into criminal acts that could ruin the weeks of rest should not be left to chance.

Summer is synonymous with relaxation and free time, however, Chileans cannot leave aside security even in the summer season, because it is a tremendous issue that worries both the population and the authorities. During the last few months, in the country we have experienced greater uncertainty and lack of security in the streets caused by criminal acts such as robberies with violence, slamming doors and lock-ins, among others.

In fact, a record in the perception of insecurity was reached, the highest in 20 years. This is alarming and without a doubt we must take action on the matter, but now! Today, it is essential to restore peace of mind to people so that they can move freely during their vacations, without fear. Therefore, generating community and having technology that contributes to a connected city in this period is essential, because unfortunately the measures are not enough.

The call is to be attentive, both to ourselves and to each other, to generate an active and connected society, because being united can save both our lives and our property and makes us stronger. Taking advantage of technology such as security apps, video surveillance, facial recognition, etc., can mean a great advance in avoiding unpleasant moments.
